You must attend an education program that is accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) to be eligible to become a licensed occupational therapist. While these programs are usually either two or three year master’s degrees, several doctoral programs also exist, along with some combined bachelor’s and master’s programs that are accelerated.
